1950s?
For this edition of my “Lure Of The Month”, I decided to feature a fishing lure that I don’t know anything about…the Gobbler.

I have searched online, in many books, and consulted a number of fellow collectors and have not found any information about his lure.  About all I know about this lure is on the box itself.

I assume this lure was manufactured in the 1950s or 1960s.  The plastic is heavy and thick and the lure is open in the back with a long wire surrounded by a spring coming out the back and going to a treble hook. Did this spring create some type of sound inside the lure that caused the fish to "...Hear It...See It...Take It!"

This lure is idea for the “Lure Of The Month” for November.  How could it not be with a name like the “Gobbler”?

If you have any data on this lure, please share it with me and I will update my website with any data that I receive.

Happy Thanksgiving!!
