Minnesota Lures
Sandstone
Sandstone gets its name for a sandstone quarry located on the edge of the city. Its population is under 3,000 residents.

Each winter, the Sandstone Ice Festival celebrates the coming of winter with ice climbing, winter camping, and snow shoeing. If the warm months, it is a population destination for kayakers visiting the Kettle River and going down the rapids.

Al Walker
Al Walker lived on Grindstone Lake near Sandstone, MN. At this home, he made many wild colored and strange lures.  Whether these were made for fishing or just for fun, I am not sure.  Many had beads, swirling colors and very odd shapes. Most of these were made pre-World War II.
